2011 Vikings League U10 - U14 Rec Playoff Tournaments
Schedules for Tournament Weekends depend on the number of teams in your bracket. We used our best ability to place teams in flights where there are reasonable matchups, looking at game results, coaches comments and scores. Matchups were selected ramdomly except that in 6 and 8 team groups we did try to place the strongest teams in different halves of the brackets.
Length of game times vary. Some are mini-games and some are full length.
* Read carefully under your flight schedule as some teams will have two games on the same day *
 Other Tournament Notes:
- Please remember that regular season
rules still apply and all players must play at least half of each game.
- Mini-games of 12-15 minute haves sub on the 6-8 minute mark.
Mini-games will have NO Halftime break: just switch sides.
- For U11 -U14 consult your tournament rules and format to determine if your team might need to go to shootouts.
Coaches must be prepared in advance with their lineup.
- There are NO shootouts for U10 - these games may end in a tie.
- Please report your scores by Sunday evening.
- Clarification of Rules for Tourney Substitutions:
U8 Rec Teams
The referee will call for stoppage of play at the 6 minute and 13 minute marks of each half to allow for substitutions by both teams. In addition, substitution is allowed for an injured player. Substitutions are not allowed at any other times.
U10 - U11 Rec Teams
The referee will call for stoppage of play at the 8 minute and 16 minute marks of each half to allow for substitutions by both teams. In addition, substitution is allowed for an injured player. Substitutions are not allowed at any other times.
U12+ Rec Teams
Unlimited substitution at own throw-in, either team's goal kick, after a score or for an injured player.
All teams shall receive either medals or trophies.
Please check the home page in November for medals & trophies pickup hours.
- Thanks in advance for leaving your beloved pets at home. Please pick up and bag out all trash at Morton.
Do not leave cardboard boxes, packing material, etc at the field. Please take it home for proper recycling/repurposing or disposal.
Kindly observe the no food or gum on plastic turf.
Enjoy your snacks in appropriate areas.

Vikings has volunteers out at the fields, often by 5 AM, checking field conditions and the webpage is updated accordingly. There is a handy "Fields Status" link on our homepage or you can use this direct link. |
