Referee Game Sign-up 2011
To sign up for matches click the link of the age group you feel comfortable officiating below. For your first request of the season, please provide the data below for the open slot on a game that you want to referee, send an email to refsoccer@sfvikings.com with:
* Your first and last name
* Your phone number/s
* Your age if you are a youth
* Are you newly trained or are you experienced?
* The slots you can cover. Please give a first, second, third and fourth choice, some match times are very popular and you can increase your chance of getting matches without having to email back and forth to check if you're available.
* Any time constraints you may have. For example: I would like slot (the slots you can do in the order of preference) and I play on my team that day for the Green Goblins U13 at Polo at 3:00 pm. My coach wants me there 30 minutes before kick off for team warmups. (This tells the assignor you have to be done with your officiating by 1:30 to allow travel time for you to get to your own match.)After your first match, you can simply ask for what games you can cover and let us know any time constraints.
We generally look at emails every evening and will confirm if you got your request within a 2 to 3 days, sometimes sooner. We take requests in the order we receive them. We will also post your last name in the slot indicating that it is your slot. Please note, there may be a gap between getting an assignment and when it gets updated on the website so some games may look like they are still open.
Generally referees are booked to do a series of games in a row usually 2 or 3. Whether it is 2 or 3 games depends on the number of games on the field that day. This enables us to simplify our referee-assigning task and at the same time allows referees to make a fair amount of money for coming out. For the pay scale click here.
