We have some fabulous opportunites in the Upper House U10 division for mentoring. This is perfect for referees with some experience but would like a few tips on improving their officiating - positing, etc. Newer referees should start out with U8 or U9 games with or without a mentor. Returning second year referees should sign up for U9 or U10 Mentored slots if feeling a little rusty.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do I get paid?
Payments will be made after the end of the month throughout the season. All referees (including AR's) report scores by Sunday evening after your games in order to get paid.

What if a team doesn't show up to the game?
If a team does not show and there is a default you are paid anyway - please report score as 1-0 forfeit win and the winning team name.

What if I don't show up to the game?
If you fail to show up for a game, you will have to referee one game free for us for each game you miss. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice to us that will be treated as a no show unless we can find a different referee. The reason for this penalty is that when a referee does not show for a game (which only rarely happens) teams are left in a very difficult position.

How do I report the scores to the Vikings Office?
All referees (including AR's) report scores by Sunday evening after your games in order to get paid. Click on the "Report Scores" button in main menu, then select Referee Report. Referees do not have to return game cards but should keep them until the end of the season in case of any mistakes by the office.
