How
To Register A Guest Team
(Revised 4/01/08)
These instructions
are for teams that are registered with Mission or PAL league
and would like to apply to participate as a Guest team in the Fall Vikings Playing Season. If you are a Viking League team, you should go
to How To Form and Register a Vikings
League Team.
Guest Teams
must complete player and team registration with their home league
following the rules required by their home league. All coaches, trainers or team assistants participating in Vikings League are required to have an F license. You must provide a photocopy of your F license of above at the registration appointment. If you have lost or misplaced your license, you may obtain a duplicate by contacting CYSA click here.
Important
Deadlines- No Guest Teams Will Be Accepted After May 23
You must
have a completed golden rod or roster from your Home League with at least
10 players (in the case of U8 teams), 12 players in the
case of U9 and U10 teams, 14 players in the case of U11
teams, and 15 players in the case of U12 and up teams. Guest
teams will be accepted on a first come first serve basis based
on space availability on the date of their appointment.

Step 1: Register Your Team To Play In the
Viking League

Teams to register your team. After you fill out the form
you will receive a Team Identification Number (TIN) by
email. Use the TIN on every correspondence to the Viking Office;
it is essential to identifying your team and keeping everything
straight. Click here

must have the Minimum Number of Players registered by May 23rd
in order to be eligible to play. See below:

Step 2: Complete Team Census
The
Team
Census Form is
essential for us to assess your team and place it in the correct
division. You need
to complete the Team
Census by 10am the day before your appointment. If you need to amend
the information in your Team Census over the summer, you have
until July 15 to make changes.
Step 3: Have
parents sign the Spectator Code of Conduct
The
Spectator
Code of Conduct , Spectator Code of Conduct Spanish Version must
be signed by all parents and returned to the League at your
appointment. All Forms must have the Vikings 2008 TIN on them or they can not be accepted.
Step 4: Register your teams volunteer assistant referee
-Deadline 10 am on the date prior to appointment
Teams must register their Volunteer assistant referee online Volunteer Asst Referee Registration before attending registration appointment. All U9-U14 teams participating in Vikings League must have at least one Volunteer Assistant Referee. U12-U14 teams require additional training this year (2008).
Step 5: Obtain
Team Roster (Golden Rod) and passes from Home League
You must
obtain your team roster (golden rod) and passes from your home league.
Step
6:
Phone to Schedule An Appointment - Deadline
May 13 at NOON
By May 13th call
the office at 504-8131 during office hours to schedule
an appointment to register your team. We will start accepting
phone calls for appointments on April 22 . Appointments
begin on April 28 and must be completed by May 23. At
your appointment, registration steps 1 through 5 must be 100%
complete or your appointment will be cancelled!
Priority is given to Vikings League Teams. Guest teams may register early but will be on a wait list based on field availability.
Step 7:
Attend Appointment to Submit Paperwork and Fees -
Deadline May 23
At your appointment, you need
to submit the following:
- Your Team Roster (Golden Rod)
from Your Home LeagueAny player movement (adds/release/transfers
on or off) -forms must be complete and stamped by your home
league registrar or they will be rejected.
- Code of Conduct Signed For Each
Player with Vikings 2008 TIN, signatures facing up and in roster order.
- Your 2008/09 passes in roster order.
- Copy
of Coaching License: All coaches, assistant coaches, &
team assistants must provide a copy of their coaching license. (Be sure to write your Vikings 2008 TIN on the copy). If coaches need to take the F Clinic to get their license they can sign up here.
- Fees of $50 per player payable
to Viking Soccer League with Team name and TIN written in
memo field (we prefer one check).
- We will verify that you have
completed your Online Team Census
- We will verify that you have
completed your online registration of Volunteer Assistant
Referee
- When you attend the registration appointment, have in mind what your practice days, times, and fields will be. hint: have a second and third choice ready.
Step 8: Obtain Viking League Stamp On
Player Passes
- Deadline August 14
You
must bring in all coach and player pases, including any roster changes, passes, codes of conduct and payment for players added to your team after your Vikings League appointment, into our office by August 14, 2008.
Please bring your team roster (golden rod), and spectator code of conduct forms signed by a parent/guardian
for player passes that require stamping to our offices during
Vikings office hours. Any players submitted after
August 14 will not be eligible to play at the opening game on
Saturday, September 6. Please check with your home league for their corresponding deadline as it might be prior to our deadline. The
final deadline for all player movement paperwork is October
9 for partial Fall league play.
Step 9 :
Attend Mandatory Team* Meetings and Recieve Player Passes - Week of September 2
Coaches
will receive completed paperwork and player passes at
Mandatory Team* Meetings to be held during the first week in September.
Please check the website for dates and times. We will send an
email reminder to the primary contact provided on your online
team registration form.
