Viking League - Referees

The Clinic: The Viking Soccer League will offer a four -day United States Soccer Federation Grade 9 to 8 Referee Clinic. Upon successful completion of this clinic, the student will become certified as a USSF Grade 8 Referee. The USSF Grade 8 Referee may officiate games as either a Referee or Assistant Referee on recreational youth games for under-14 and younger. They may also officiate older ages, competitive youth matches (Class 1), or adult matches.

The clinic will consist of a three-hour class on weeknights, a six-hour class on a Saturday (field practical), and a test on a weeknight.

Who May Attend: YOU MUST HAVE A GRADE 9 LEVEL LICENSE TO TAKE THIS CLINIC. Attendance is limited to District 1 (San Francisco, SSF and San Bruno residents only. Please submit a copy of your referee license with your payment.

There must be at least 10 applicants in order to offer this course. The class size will be limited to 15 students.

From 280: Take the San Bruno Avenue exit. Go uncer the freeway left), and then back onto 280 going south. Take the first exit (Crystal Springs). Go under the freway (to the left). Turn left first opportunity onto Cunningham. Turn left at the T onto Jenevein (which becomes Withman). left onto Courtland Drive. Fields are on your right. There are two fields (upper and lower).

From 101: Take the 380 cut-over to 280. South on 280. Take the first exit (Crystal Springs). Go under the freway (to the left). Turn left first opportunity onto Cunningham. Turn left at the T onto Jenevein (which becomes Withman). left onto Courtland Drive. Fields are on your right. There are two fields (upper and lower).

Cost:
Fees are $35.00. In order to reserve your space you must register online and mail your registration form with payment to: SF Vikings League, 2521 Judah Street, San Francisco, CA 94122. Space is limited so those attending the course are required to promise to referee a minimum of 5 Viking League games during the season (they will be paid for refereeing the games).
