Team Managers
|
All Vikings teams are required to have a "Primary Team Contact" or Team Manager. This person can be a parent or also be the coach of the team. If the Manager is also planning to coach, please follow the instructions for COACHES (below). In order to register only as the Manager, not coach, please do the following:
Team managers handle sensitive information. To help protect the children, all managers must submit online, the Team Official Risk Management Disclosure Form : make sure you select form the drop down menu: SF Vikings YSL (010201). After you select "Submit" a six digit confimation page will appear. Please provide your legal name and this code at your team registration meeting.
Please see our Registration page for information about how to register your team. Also see our FAQ with helpful information for new team managers.
Registering as a Coach
All Vikings teams are required to have at least one registered F-licensed coach on the field for every game. We highly recommend two coaches to avoid game forfeiture and fees in the event the head coach is unable to arrive to every game on time.
If you are coaching more than one team, please only submit a list of team names and TINs and what your role is for each team you are involved with. At present, we need to create a pass for each team you are involved with, passes are non transferable at this time.
There can only be a maximim of two coaches on the coaching side of the field at anytime during games. Any adult planning to give instruction to the players during practices and/or games must register with the league. To register, please take the following steps:
New and returning coaches must register through our online coach registration system before your team registration appointment. Instructions are included on the linked page. Make sure to provide your legal name and the six digit confirmation code to the team manger, we will need that for registration
Coaches will have the opporutnity to signup for F coach license training if they are new to Vikings League coaching staff. If our clinic dates don't work for your schedule, you can find a list of clinics being offered in Northern California at the CYSA website. If you already have a license but have misplaced it, you may need to request a copy of coach license from CYSA.
Additional Requirements:
1) Each team is required to submit a Team Census by July 12. Only one is required per team. Please do not submit multiple forms, although an amended census is acceptable.
2) Attend the Mandatory Coaches Meeting (August/September) to receive important items and information for games. Dates/times can be found at the registration link.
3) Make sure at least one coach on your team is wearing a red hat (received at the coaches meeting) to every game.
