The San Francisco Vikings Soccer League’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at Town School, in the Auditorium, 2750 Jackson Street (cross streets are Scott & Divisadero), commencing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2012.
What is the AGM?
The AGM is the Annual General Meeting where Vikings team representatives come together to vote on proposals, elect league officials, discuss issues, and award coaches and referees for exceptional work. This is a mandatory meeting that must be attended by one representative from each team in order for the team to remain in "good standing". Each representative will get to place one vote.
Each team must send a separate representative. No person present for the AGM has more than one vote and any single person may only represent ONE team. One person from all Vikings recreational teams and Vikings Upper House teams need to attend; attendance at the meeting is tied to registration priority and practice field request priority. So if a coach or manager can't make it, at the very least send a parent.
The coach or team contact of each member team is expected either to attend and vote the team proxy or to nominate and send a team-affiliated parent to vote the team proxy. Teams unwilling to make this minimum effort can expect to not receive consideration on scheduling and practice field priority next season. In addition, should we have more teams than available fields, teams that attended the AGM will have priority over teams that did not.
